Back to School

Liam has finally cut his first tooth! I noticed it around 7 1/2 months! Such a sweet little boy! He's crawling all over the place and pulling himself up! We had a playdate with Kaden the other evening and Liam was trying to balance himself to be able to walk like Kaden! Keyword: Trying, but hey, he was persistant! :)) He's so blonde and so big! I can't believe my little baby will be 8 months old this week!

I went back to school this week and I am going to have QUITE the year! My kids are very sweet, but there are some challenges! I miss my kids from last year a whole lot, but I know that my new kiddos will grab my heart as much as they had! I miss being home with Liam, but I do love what I do! Truman's still home with Liam, which is good and bad (the good outweighs the bad by a lot if you ask me though)... No job yet, but getting to spend so much time with Liam that most Daddy's don't get to do! Truman and Liam are lucky boys getting to hang out together so much! I'm so proud of my boys!

Goodbye Sweet Summertime!

So, we had a fabulous summer! We made it to 4 Rangers games - Liam got to go to 3 and he had a blast! We celebrated our 1 year anniversary in July! Whoo hoo, we've passed one milestone! We went out to eat at Benihana while Mimi watched Liam! It was a fun little evening! We had our trip to Illinois, and we had a big trip to Cali! We spent a few days with my "Uncle Ralph" at his house in Yorba Linda, one evening down in San Diego, and a week and a half with my Mom's side of the family in Costa Mesa! We got in some shopping, a few beach days, the Wild Animal Park, and of course, lots of yummy food! Liam didn't get any attention at all.... Just KIDDING! I don't know if the kid spent a second not being held! It's okay, I guess when you're the only baby around, you get to be spoiled! Liam loves going down to the pool, and loves being in his floaty! I think he's really enjoyed having me home this summer ;))

Sweet Summer Time

School is out! Finally! I feel like I've been thinking a/b summer break for the longest time! Friday was our last day and the kids had a great day! I miss them so much already! Especially knowing that I'm switching schools and won't be able to see them next year! I miss my amazing team also (Shout-out Angela, Shelly, Jenn, Tara, Alicia, Steph)! I had a great first year teaching and I owe so much of that to them! I did get up to my new classroom at Sonntag a couple of time this week though and it is very exciting getting a new classroom all set up! I know I'm going to have a great year with my new team (let's do another Shout-out! Ann Marie, Jordan, Ashley, and Kayla)!

Truman's football team is playing in the Championship game tomorrow night in Athens, TX (??). They won their playoff game last week in Shreveport! Mom and I got some shopping done out there on Sunday while Dad and Truman hit up to the casino for a little while before heading home!

Liam is 5 months and 1 week old now! He's growing so fast! He's not my little baby anymore, he's turning into a big boy! Ha, he absolutely LOVES going down to the pool! He loves swimming and kicking in the water! So grown-up of him!

Liam's 4 months old!

Liam had his 4 month check up check up on Monday! He turned 4 last Saturday! He weighs 16 lbs 4.5 oz and is now 25 inches long and just seems huge to me! Of course, he's only going to get bigger and bigger until he's a foot taller than me! Good gracious! I can't believe how quickly it's gone and all the things that he is doing now! Danger - The little one is beginning the stages of grabbing and it's so cute! Yesterday, he was able to sit in his bouncer/walker thing and his feet actually touched the ground! What is that? Ha

In the right direction

Liam slept through the night completely by himself last night. He usually wakes up around 1:30 to eat and falls right back asleep, so as far as babies go, we have it fairly easy I think. But not last night, little man slept from 9 to 5! 8 hours! Truman & I did wake up a few times though, we were wondering when he was going to wake up! Truman actually got up to check on him once too. So, we're moving in the right direction, can't wait for that to be consistent!

Truman JUST walked out the door to head to Phoenix. I know I did a month at a time this summer while he was in San Diego, so this 4 days without him here shouldn't be too hard. He's heading out to a combine, so of course I am happy for him. I didn't think I was going to cry when he left because it's for something so exciting, but once he started saying bye to Liam, what do you know?! It was just too sweet!

Now, I have got to pull myself together and get through the day! Yay for Mimi who will be watching Liam while I am at work today and tomorrow! What a lucky little boy!

A Cold Start to Spring

Last week was Spring Break and I absolutely loved getting to stay home with Truman and Liam for a whole week! Truman had plenty of opportunities to get his golf fix in and I got to get my Liam fix in :) We enjoyed spending a couple of evenings getting together with friends and even made a trip out to our old stomping grounds on Fry in Denton. Mom and I enjoyed a few shopping days together and even got to get down to the pool Thursday and Friday.

Then the snow came in - The first weekend of Spring, and we have snow!!!! Who would have thought? Although, I thoroughly dislike the cold weather, I'm glad it snowed. At least when it looks pretty outside you feel a little bit better about how gosh darn cold it is outside.

I'm back to work this week though - The kids keep me busy and distracted from missing my own little one too much! :) So thankful for Truman for staying home with my sweet baby! I still can't imagine dropping him off at daycare or anything yet! Eek!

Truman is leaving for Pheonix tomorrow though! He's getting another chance at the NFL and hopefully this year it will all work out! There is a big tryout camp this weekend that he's heading out for that multiple teams will be scouting at. So keep him in your thoughts and prayers, hoping that he has a safe drive out there and that he is able to do his very best this weekend! :) I am so grateful for my mom who is graciously taking off to spend Thursday and Friday with my little man! I took too many days off when he was born to take too many days off.
